Fire Resisting Compound : The unique Godrej fire-resisting compound has a cellular structure. It is solid and stable and does not deteriorate with age. It provides a highly efficient shield against heat. The fire-resisting compound can withstand temperature exceeding 1000° C and provides as much resistance to flame and hot gases as a 610 mm thick concrete wall.

All-round protection for each drawer : Each drawer of the Fire Resisting Cabinet has an independent five-sided enclosure heavily insulated with the unique Godrej fire resisting compound. This makes each drawer a separate fully insulated compartment which will protect its content even if one or more of the other drawer are inadvertently left open.

The Godrej Fire Resisting Filling Cabinets have successfully withstand the 2-hour fire-impact test at the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) - Rourkee, Uttar Pradesh, the only accredited institute of its kind in India for carrying out such tests.

Overall Cabinet Dimensions

The Godrej FRRC has a sturdy double-walled body and door of multibend construction fabricated from prime quality steel.

The door has a specially designed tongue-and-groove construction, which creates a diversion in the passage of flames and hot gases, preventing them from entering the cabinet.

This construction, coupled with the efficient insulation provided by the fire-resisting compound, gives the cabinet as much resistance to fire as a 610 mm concrete wall. Hence, whilst the fire rages outside at a temperature of 1010° C (1850°F), the inner temperature remains below 177° C keeping the records safe and usable.

The Godrej FRRC has successfully withstood severe fire and impact tests. They include the 2-hour fire impact test and the 2-hour fire endurance test at the Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee, Uttar Pradesh - the only accredited institute of its kind in India for carrying out such test.
